Today, I got a call from our apartment manager. She told us that someone (An anonymous donor) had come and given her $100 to help pay for our rent. She wasn't allowed to tell us who it was or why, but that we now have $100 off this months rent.
Of course mark was taking a nap when she called, but I woke him up anyways. At the moment, the only people I can think of that would do this is marks parents, but they already help us with our rent. So it can't be them.
My husband and I are taking this experience as a blessing. We're thinking of things we've done lately that could have made way for this blessing and the only thing we can think of is that we are finally caught up on our tithing. We haven't gone to the temple lately (with me working nights, its kind of hard) and we haven't really done any service or anything. So tithing is what brought us this much needed blessing (which we are going to put toward paying off our credit card).
I believe that if we go through each day following the lords commandments, and doing our best, we wont regret it in the long run. God put trials in front of us for a reason, and he knows we can overcome those trials. All you have to do is have faith in our Father in Heaven, and heed his words, and nothing, not even Satan himself can bring you down.
Miracles truly are among us! Don't question them, just accept them and let them happen.

Oh! If you are wondering . . .
My last name is pronounced de-young. So putting 'de Jonger ones', makes it sound like 'the younger ones'. It's a lot better then the other names I had. My parents have "The Wandering Rasmussen's" and my sister has "The Wandering Welch's". But "The Wandering de Jong's" doesn't have the same ring to it. So I started thinking about nick names that involved our last name. Mark's dad's name is Mark as well, so back home in California, everyone calls him(my husband) Mark de Jonger, or de Jongest. And then I thought, "Hey, we technically are the youngest couple in both families" (at least until my little brother and sister get older, and married and whatnot). So I decided to go with "de Jonger ones". It had a much better ring to it, and most people we know would understand it right away.
Oh! I love purple and bright colors, so that's why I chose this background. It's awesome!
Alrighty peeps, I must go. I have a very important book that I must read. (Cough,Cough,HungerGames,Cough)

Blogging!!!!
So, all of my family keeps asking me if i have a blog to follow. Usually my answer would be no. But now, it's yes! Quick introduction: :)
My name is Selina de Jong (formerly Rasmussen). I am 20 years old, and studying Biology Education (at the moment) at BYU-Idaho. I am married to my wonderful husband, Mark, who is studying History Education, and we are both confused at how long we will be staying here. We have a precious little girl, Kaia, who is almost 2. (She's a dog if your wondering. Pitt-bull/mix to be specific, and the cutest thing in the world!!)
Mark is a school bus driver for the local school district, and I work part time at Taco Bell. Once this semester is over, i'll be off track and i'll go full time until I go back to school in the fall. Mark is an avid writer on the side and already has one book (Unwitting Pawn) published on Kindle, with many more in the works.
We hope to move to Arizona when we get real jobs and whatnot, and hope to get more dogs. Our number one goal in life is to get rich, and be a foster home for dogs, and open a no-kill shelter/rescue. We want to save and train as many Pitt bulls as possible. They are a very misunderstood breed.
My Parents live in Colorado Springs with my two younger siblings Jake(7) and Sienna(5). My older sister Leah lives down the street here in Rexburg. She has a little girl Karrin, who is 4 months.
Mark's Parents live in southern California near Palm Springs, a small place called Desert Hot Springs. He has one sister living in Seattle(Kristen) with two little ones Ty and Sydney. His other two sisters(Kari and Denise) live in Arizona. Kari travels, alot. I don't know if she blogs about her travels. I'll have to get back to you on that. Denise is a dog trainer and has three of her own. When we, eventually, open a shelter, we want her to run it.
Well, I think its time to go now. I need to stand up and walk around. Kaia's been sleeping on my feet, which are now asleep. I'll think of more things about me to put in here. Until then, LATER!!!
